Safeguarding Statement of Policy and Culture

Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is a top priority for our Church of England Parish Churches. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes a sense of security for families with children. We strictly follow the safeguarding guidelines set forth by the House of Bishops, placing the well-being of all members of our community above all else. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers regularly undergo safeguarding training to effectively address concerns and provide help whenever needed. We emphasize the importance of open communication and transparency, highlighting the significance of safeguarding in all church activities. By upholding the highest safeguarding standards, we strive to foster a welcoming and safe environment where families can worship and grow in faith together.

Each Parish appoints a Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). If you have any concerns regarding the safety of any individual or activities, please reach out to the relevant PSO or Diocesan Safeguarding Officer (DSO).
